PARTICIPATION GUIDE

For complete enjoyment of the show, we encourage you to bring certain props listed below as well as dress up. At all times, we expect all participants to be respectful and kind to each other as the goal is to have fun. We are not allowing any type of outside food or drink into the theatre so for props such as RICE or TOAST - we are suggesting to simply use some popcorn! The throwing of any of the items is meant to be fun - do not throw at anyone or at the screen. Items should be lightly thrown into the air as to not hurt anybody. Never make fun of anyone for dressing up or for being in the same outfit as you. Do not shout the same insults at the screen constantly as it gets boring and monotonous. We would like to encourage shouting choice words/phrases in their proper spaces for the audience participation but keep it to a minimum, so that the movie can still be enjoyed by all. We have also explicitly denied all water/liquid props especially water/squirt guns. Bringing in props should be done in a small shopping bag - preferably clear - that will be searched before entering the theatre. If the prop is not mentioned below, assume that it is not allowed.

Rice: At the beginning of the film is the wedding. As the newlyweds exit the church, you should throw the rice along with the on-screen wedding guests. THIS MUST BE POPCORN ONLY!

Newspapers: When Brad and Janet are caught in the storm, Janet covers her head with a newspaper. At this point, you should likewise cover your head. No liquid or water props allowed.

Cell Phones, flashlights: During the Theres a light verse of Over at the Frankenstein Place, you should light up the theater with flashlights. (NO LIGHTERS!) Cell Phones must not be used to record or take any photos while the movie is playing as you will be required to leave immediately if you do.

Rubber gloves: During and after the creation speech, Frank snaps his rubber gloves three times. Later, Magenta pulls these gloves off his hands. You should snap your gloves in sync each time to create a fantastic sound effect.

Noisemakers: At the end of the creation speech, the Transylvanians respond with applause and noisemakers. You should do the same. NO AIR HORNS

Confetti: At the end of the Charles Atlas Song; reprise, the Transylvanians throw confetti as Rocky and Frank head toward the bedroom. You should do the same. NO GLITTER - Could substitute Popcorn!

Toilet paper: When Dr. Scott enters the lab, Brad cries out Great Scott; At this point, you should throw a roll of toilet paper into the air (preferably Scotts).

Toast: When Frank proposes a toast at dinner, members of the audience throw toast into the air. THIS MUST BE POPCORN ONLY. NO TOAST ALLOWED.

Party hat: At the dinner table, when Frank puts on a party hat, you should do the same.

Bell: During the song Planet Schmanet Janet; ring the bell when Frank sings Did you hear a bell ring? Or use your keys if you do not have a bell.

Cards: During the song I'm Going Home; Frank sings Cards for sorrow, cards for pain;. At this point you should shower the theater with cards.
